Accessibility - analysis of the legal framework and recommendations for its improvement

One of the project activities is advocacy aimed at analyzing the existing legislative framework, as well as preparing recommendations for improving the law in the field of accessibility. To this end, a decision-making document is being prepared that contains a brief overview of relevant international and national legal regulations dealing with accessibility issues and their analysis.

The purpose of this document is to indicate, through specific recommendations, the need for amendments to existing regulations in order to improve the existing situation. During the preparation of this document, the texts of international documents, positive legal regulations of the Republic of Serbia (laws, bylaws), existing strategic documents as well as reports and studies of relevant professional and independent bodies were used. During all workshops that will be organized through the project, this document will be discussed with the participants, with the intention to further supplement and improve it, so that at the end of the project it is sent to the competent institutions that can use it as a basis for amendments to the legal framework.
